Parent Reflection

Adib is playful and an imaginative boy. He spends most of his time in front of the computer playing games but at the same time he is trying to do his homework. Sometimes we are worry that he multitasks between playing and doing his homework. Nevertheless, when he did the Russian doll challenge, he uses his imagination to help him create the ideal character for each box that he made.

He is also creative. I think that he uses more of his right brain since he is more into music and art. He would independently play then afterwards clean his clarinet at night and sometimes play his recorder to practice. He is also fond in drawing.

He did his rocket experiment; it’s nice to see that he is trying things that he has not tried before while working hard in doing it. Apart from school works, he likes to do different kind of experiments with his toys, for example with his collection of nano. This shows his curiosity.

He is enthusiasm when he voices out his ideas about random stuff, anything that crosses his mind. He sometimes even surprises us with the stories coming out of his mouth, especially when he speaks to us in English. He has improved in his English language as he tried his best not to mix Malay and English when he speaks.

He will be focus when he is not disturbed. So it’s best for us not to disturb him when he’s doing his homework and not to force him or be angry at him when he is finding for his lost stuff otherwise he would panic and be forgetful.

As for his attitude in school, apparently he had gain a little bit of confidence as he lowers down his shyness and we are glad that he has been able to start talking in group discussions or in front of the class.

Lastly, he is still young and experiencing his childhood. He still loves to play around and not pay much attention in studying. Hopefully, he can grow up bits by bits and hopefully, we the parents, family, teachers and friends could help him along the way.
